Seattle is a major U.S. city and a popular port of call.  Seattle has become a high-tech metropolis for mover and shaker companies like Microsoft, Starbucks, Nordstrom, and Amazon.com.

Seattle is easy to get around on foot.  Pike Place Market is a must for visitors to the city where boutiques, restaurants, food stands and shops abound in a nine-acre historic district.  Starbucks was launched there and the original store still operates.   At Pike Place Fish you can see giant Salmon get tossed in the air and take some home.

The Seattle Waterfront is one of the most magnificent seaports in the world.  You'll find the Seattle Aquarium and numerous shops, restaurants, and activities at Bell Street Pier.   Board the Victoria Clipper catamaran at Pier 69 and sightsee Puget Sound.   The Waterfront is a superb location for spectacular Seattle sunsets.

For an awesome view of the city visit the famous Space Needle at the Seattle Center.   Here you'll also find an IMAX theater and the Experience Music Project with 140,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, artifacts, and live performances.

To get a feel for Seattle history, stroll through it's historic district now filled with art galleries, antique shops, restaurants.  Book enthusiasts will want to visit Elliot Bay Bookstore.  Also in the area and well worth a visit is the Pacific Science Center.

Check out the popular dim sum walking and tasting tour in Seattle's Chinatown.

Several cruise operators offer tours and views of Seattle from the water.
