Pike Place Market  is a district that has lived in the memories of Seattle residents for nearly a century contributing to the pulse and complexion of this beautiful city.  Situated in a nine-acre historic district It was named a "World Renowned Public Space" in 2002 by "Project for Public Spaces", an organization dedicated to creating and sustaining public places that build communities.

Local and visitor shoppers will find Pike Place Market to be a food lover's dream.  Here you can find anything you can think of: unique crafts and original art , Antiques and Collectibles, Galleries, Posters and Framing, Clothing and Accessories, Jewelry, Leather Goods, Shoes, Flowers, Plants, Books, Music, Hardware, Herbal Apothecary & Vitamins, Kitchen Supplies, Specialty Merchandise, Toys and Games, and more.

Pike Place Market sponsors numerous city events througout the year.   During the summer on most Sundays local chefs demo their specialties.  You can attend the annual Sunset Supper featuring Seattle's top chefs serving a variety of fresh signature items.  On Wednesdays during the summer, organic enthusiasts shop for wholesome organic produce.    Also in the summer is the Pigs on Parade - where artists adorn replicas of the Market's bronze piggybank which are then auctioned for charity.   During the Fall, Seattle residents look forward to the annual Buskers' Festival. 

One of the best ways to get acquainted with the Market is by taking a special Market Tour that will reveal nooks and crannies that you would otherwise possibly overlook.  The tour is also entertaining offering local history tidbits and quirky shopping tips from knowledgeable market insiders.
