The Seattle International District is one of Seattle's oldest and most frequented neighborhoods.  Here one can delight in delectable Asian cuisine, shop numerous specialty stores, and visit historical exhibits at the Wing Luke Asian Museum.  Two popular annual events are held here.  In late January or early February the Lunar New Year Celebration  takes place in the Great Hall of Union Station.  Samples of the best dishes from local restaurants are served with plenty of entertainment and arts and crafts.   In the second week of July the largest Pan-Asian American street fair in the Pacific Northwest is held - once again entertainment, arts and crafts are featured.  The Summer Festival is an extremely popular event

Directions to the Seattle Chinatown-International District:

From I-5 :
Southbound on I-5:
Exit 164. Take the James Street downtown exit and follow Sixth Avenue South across Yesler Way downhill into the District.

Northbound on I-5:
Exit 164. Follow the signs for the sport stadiums to Dearborn St. Turn right on Seventh Avenue or Maynard Avenue into the District.

From I-90:
Westbound on I-90:
Take the Fourth Avenue South exit. From the off-ramp, turn left and drive to South Jackson Street.
